Tuna-tower sportfish in Fort Lauderdale canals

Air draft, canal width, and which neighborhoods still accept a standing tower.

A standing tuna tower is an honest piece of equipment and a dishonest neighbor in most Fort Lauderdale laterals. Bridge clearances on the New River and the inner isles were not drawn for a tower left up. Harbor Beach and the Bahia Mar overlay are where a convertible still looks like itself. Everywhere else, the tower comes down or the boat does not belong. We ask for the air draft with the tower up and with it laid, because listing copy that says “bridge clearance OK” often measured the house, not the outriggers.
