Idlewyld HOA: 14 ft boulevard span and 8 ft fingers

Idlewyld waterfront HOA on the west Las Olas fingers — ~14 ft at the boulevard, ~8–8.5 ft depth, tighter than the outer Isles walls.

Finger depth

8–8.5 ft typical

Boulevard span

~14 ft

Canal width

~65–70 ft

Idlewyld’s board is a close-lot Las Olas file, not a marina. Generator hours, lift sightlines, and a 90-foot arrival the neighbors can see from the kitchen. Fourteen feet of boulevard steel is the overlay the bylaws cannot raise. A flybridge does not become legal because the minutes were friendly at closing.

Typical board friction: dinghy racks, extra crew cars, covered lifts. Typical water on this finger: 8–8.5 ft, ~14 ft at the boulevard, 65–70 ft of canal. The 31 ft ICW Las Olas number is a different entrance — only if the pilings actually face that water. No separate maritime-guide zone; use Las Olas Isles geometry plus this span. Advisory, not legal advice.

Typical planning figures and neighborhood patterns only. Not legal, tax, insurance, or survey advice. Confirm with counsel, the city, the carrier, and a surveyor before you act.

Can I treat Idlewyld as Hendricks?

No. Hendricks south shoals to 6.5 ft and the isle span is ~12 ft. Idlewyld is a different steel and a different bottom.
