ICW stretch: 17th Street Causeway to Las Olas

This ICW stretch is the Fort Lauderdale corridor people mean when they say they can “run the waterway to dinner.” Depth in the low teens, width for passing, and 17th Street’s fifty-five feet at one end with Las Olas at thirty-one at the other. It is not a backyard canal. It is also not deep enough to ignore a six-foot motoryacht on a thin tide in a side cut.
